Chiropractors are commonly linked to fixing posture.
There are 2 common areas to correct posture. Firstly the head, neck and shoulder area and the legs and lower back pelvic area. I assess each area to see what areas are weak or tight and then look at your whole spine and posture to get an overall view.
It’s like checking each part of the car and then putting it altogether to see how it works and fine tuning the car to get it running at it's best.
The reason why posture is so important is that is not only looks bad aesthetically but is can cause a lot of pain and discomfort but also may effect organ function like lung function causing shortness of breath.
Posture is always mentioned when you are lifting any item of weight “Watch your back….. be careful of your posture….. don’t slouch…… sit up tall….” It’s because if you damage you spine, you damage your spinal cord, you damage your spinal cord, you are in real trouble!
